Energy Healing Can Help with Stress

Energy healing is an umbrella term for any therapy that works the energy circuits/system in our physical body or human energy field to regain balance and facilitates our body’s innate healing mechanisms. The human energy field is all around our physical body, and also penetrates through our body. Some other names given for energy healing are: BioEnergy/Medicine, Therapeutic Touch, Touch Therapy, Quantum Healing, Craniosacral and Reiki.

Energy healing is a gentle, non-invasive approach to wellness. Energy healing helps on an emotional, mental, spiritual, as well as on a physical level. Energy healing is a complement to allopathic medicine and other health services, for example, with chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, and others.

Energy healing is done while a person is lying on a table, or chair fully clothed using hands with light touch on the body, or off to re-energize, repair, rebuild, and/or rebalance the human energy field. When we have stress it shows up in our physical body in many different ways and also impacts our human energy field. Simply put, when we are healthy, life energy flows freely in the body, with chronic stress the life energy becomes stagnate and/or blocked. Energy healing can remove blockages and allow the energy to flow freely in and around the body.

Stress can be healthy, at the same time stress that is not managed can be debilitating on our well-being. Everyone deals with stress differently, some people are able to cope with stress and be productive on a regular basis, while others are not able to find a balance. When stress is not dealt with over the years, this condition becomes chronic and impacts all areas in our professional and personal lives.

There is tremendous pressure to be successful in our business, many times to the detriment of our health, for example, by overworking (arrive early and/or stay late at work), too busy to eat or eating at our desks, not taking a break, missing our regular exercise routine, or not having enough sleep. Stress is like a snowball affect, it gets increasingly worse (larger) over time. Well this was ALL ME!

Everyone holds stress in different areas of their bodies. I hold stress in my abdomen area. I was so good at my job that I was given more responsibilities and at that time I did not know how to say no, I thought I could handle it. After years of chronic stress I was a miserable wreck. I was in so much physical pain at times, I had to lie down at work and even on a rare occasion lying down did not help at all. I went to see my family physician, specialist, naturopath, allergist and others. I had many different tests done from blood tests to x-rays and there was never a real diagnosis. I thought I was going crazy and making things up. I almost had a nervous breakdown.

I did not know that I had chronic stress at the time. It took me years of working through all areas of my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development.

Some of the symptoms and signs of stress are: headaches, lack of focus, poor memory, constant worrying, frequent colds, irritability, weight gain, weight loss, anxiety, depression, mood swings, emotional and physical pain.

Some of the benefits are: reduced stress, joy, better sleep, more energy, clarity in thought and action, calmer. grounded and more relaxed.

When we invest the time on ourselves by reflecting to find out what is best for our well-being, to take care of us first, we in turn are more productive in our work, business and all aspects of our lives.
